About David
First and foremost, I am a proud New Yorker. I was born and raised in New York, so I’ve come to develop a deep connection with the people here. I believe that New Yorkers are among the most industrious, hardworking, and genuinely honest people in our country, and I am happy to call New York my home.
I’ve been practicing bankruptcy law in New York for over 25 years. Over the years, I’ve seen many things change, but one thing remains the same – when people find themselves in financial trouble, they look for someone they can trust to help them. I’m proud to be one of the most trusted and well-respected New York bankruptcy attorneys around.
My core belief is that you succeed by treating others with fairness and respect. You’re a hard working New Yorker with a family to take care of, and you deserve an attorney who understands your unique challenges. When you sit down to discuss your financial situation with me, you’ll be treated as a real client with real concerns – not just another case number.
Here’s a bit about my background as a New York bankruptcy lawyer:
I received my undergraduate degree at the Ohio University of Athens in 1971, and my law degree from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1974. Since then, I’ve been admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of New York.
I’ve successfully handled thousands of bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 individual bankruptcies and Chapter 11 business reorganizations. I’ve helped countless people save their homes and businesses, and discharged millions of dollars of tax debt for individual and business clients.
I am a member of several professional associations, including:
- Kentucky Bar Association, 1974
- New York State Bar Association
- American Bar Association
- National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys
- New York County/Legal Referral Service, 1982 – Present (Bankruptcy Panel Attorney)
- National Association of Consumer Advocates
- A.A.R.P. (Legal Referral Service)
Of course, all the professional memberships in the world don’t matter unless you can trust your attorney. I look forward to earning your trust, and to helping you find relief from your financial worries.
